Quick answer

HydraFacial is a gentle hydro-peeling: spiral nozzles with suction exfoliate the top layer, lift out excess sebum, clean and tighten pores, and moisturise in the same pass. That is why it shows its best results on blackheads, whiteheads and mild acne rather than on deep inflammation, which needs a treatment plan from an esthetician or dermatologist.

What is a HydraFacial Treatment?

Acne is a source of discomfort for many people, not only teenagers. Often painful acne most often occurs on the face, the upper chest and back. Treatment for acne requires complex diagnostic and therapeutic measures, which are determined by a dermatologist or esthetician.  Our estheticians use the most modern methods to quickly reduce inflammation, reduce the number of lesions, cleanse and even out the skin. At our spa we used specialized acne treatments and modern effective methods

What Is Acne?

To fight acne first we must understand why acne occurs in the first place. Acne is a skin condition characterized by the appearance of redness and pimples. They arise due to increased secretion of sebum (face oils), which, together with dead cells, clogs the ducts of the sebaceous glands and hair follicles. In the resulting “traffic jams” bacteria that cause inflammation of the follicles begin to multiply actively. As a result, numerous pimples and acne occur.

Disruption of the sebaceous glands can be caused by a genetic predisposition, a change in hormonal levels, improper hygiene, a decrease in local skin immunity or other reasons. Acne is a disease that can be chronic and have acute side effects.

Not sure whether your skin needs a HydraFacial or a different facial? That is what the consultation is for.

What Facial Is Best For Acne?

For those with problematic skin facial cleansing is a mandatory step in caring for acne. One or two times a month is usually enough, depending on the condition of your skin.

The acne facials are indicated for those who have:

  • problematic skin
  • enlarged pores
  • excessively oily skin and oily sheen
  • tendency to have inflammation and redness, rapid contamination of pores
  • acne
  • blackheads
  • whiteheads
  • blackheads
  • unhealthy grayish, dull complexion
  • mild skin tone

What is HydraFacial?

HydraFacial is a complex skin care procedure used to treat acne.  HydraFacial, or hydro-peeling, is a type of gentle cleansing of the skin. It includes exfoliation and moisturizing of the skin’s upper layer.

It is used for mild acne and eliminates excess skin oils and narrows and cleanses pores. The greatest result of the procedure is seen on blackheads and pimples.

We use a HydraFacial apparatus (made in the USA) with spiral-shaped nozzles for the hydro-peeling process. Suction technology gently and deeply cleanses the skin which restores and moisturizes it.

The cost of the treatment depends on the number of procedures and whether it will be supplemented by other types of treatment. (MEMBERSHIP programs are available)

Frequency of treatments are determined by the cosmetologist, taking into account the condition of your skin and the treatment area. Most often, to achieve a lasting result, you will need 4-6 procedures with a frequency of one per week. A maintenance session can be supplemented by a manual cleaning from time to time.

In ANNAZUR Organic Beauty SPA, the cost of a single vacuum HydraFacial care procedure starts at $197 ($149 for your first visit or with membership).

Hydrafacial Steps

Specific steps are followed to perform the Hydra Facial treatment session.

  • Superficial cleansing of the skin for the first stage of the procedure.
  • Deep cleansing (exfoliation) and peeling to smooth the skin is the 2nd stage of the procedure.
  • Extraction – vacuum and mechanical cleansing of the skin, removal of blackheads.
  • Layered application of serums for moisturizing, reducing inflammation, skin renewal.
  • Final moisturizing and applying sunscreen to prevent pigmentation if necessary.

The entire procedure takes about 60 minutes. Recovery time is not required. However, you should wait three days after the procedure to sunbathe outside or go to a tanning salon.

Hydrafacial Results

  • Rejuvenating effects on the skin:
  • Skin cleansing, moisturizing, and renewing.
  • Individualized treatment plans for each patient, taking into account the type of skin and the degree of damage.
  • Very gentle treatment, suitable for sensitive skin.
  • Special training and rehabilitation are not required.
  • The effect is visible after the first procedure. A single procedure can be used to quickly improve the condition of the skin, for example, before an important event.
  • It can be combined with other acne treatment methods.

Is a HydraFacial your procedure?

  • Best for: oily skin with enlarged pores, blackheads and whiteheads, dull tone and skin that clogs quickly.
  • How it works: exfoliation, extraction of excess oil and moisturising of the upper layer in one session, with a US-made device and spiral nozzles.
  • How often: facial cleansing is a standing step for acne-prone skin — once or twice a month, depending on the condition of your skin.
  • Not a cure on its own: acne is a condition, not a one-off problem: the plan is set by an esthetician or dermatologist and a facial is part of it.

Book the facial, or come in for the skin assessment first — both start with the same appointment.

HydraFacial for acne-prone skin. Questions answered plainly.

What does a HydraFacial do for acne?

It removes excess skin oils, and cleans and narrows pores while moisturising the upper layer. On blackheads and pimples the change is the most visible; it is used for mild acne rather than severe inflammation.

How often should I get a facial if I am acne-prone?

Once or twice a month is usually enough. The exact rhythm depends on how quickly your pores clog and how oily the skin is.

Who is an acne facial for?

Problematic skin, enlarged pores, oily sheen, skin that reddens and inflames easily, blackheads and whiteheads, and a dull greyish complexion.

What device is used for the procedure?

A HydraFacial apparatus made in the USA with spiral-shaped nozzles. Suction technology lifts what is loosened out of the pore instead of pressing it deeper.

Will one session clear my acne?

One session cleans the skin and calms the surface, but acne is a condition that needs diagnosis and a plan. Our esthetician builds that plan and the facial is one part of it.
