Hair length: grain of rice
Your hair needs to be at least ¼ inch (6 mm) — about the size of a grain of rice. That’s roughly 2–3 weeks of growth after shaving. Don’t trim it yourself: let us handle it.
Stop shaving 2–3 weeks before
Shaving resets the hair growth cycle. The longer you stop before your appointment, the better the wax can grip and the smoother the result.
Shower, skip lotion & oils
Shower before your visit but avoid applying lotions, oils, or any products to the waxing area that day. These create a barrier that prevents proper adhesion.
Ibuprofen 45 min before
Take a standard dose of ibuprofen 30–45 minutes before your appointment. It reduces both discomfort and post-wax inflammation. Avoid caffeine and alcohol the day of.
Exfoliate gently the night before
A light exfoliation 24 hours before helps lift any trapped hairs and primes skin for cleaner removal. Skip it the day of — freshly exfoliated skin is more sensitive.
