Buccal massage training: the intraoral technique explained
Buccal massage is an intraoral technique that works the deeper layers of facial muscle to release tension and improve facial structure. At ANNAZUR it is taught inside the Premium sculptural face massage package — two days, 8+2 hours plus homework. The current price is on the course page.
Buccal is the facial technique clients now ask for by name, and the one fewest practitioners in Jacksonville actually offer. The reason is simple: it is done from inside the mouth, and most training never goes there.
What buccal massage actually is
Most facial massage works the surface: skin, superficial fascia, lymph. Buccal goes under that. Working with a gloved hand inside the cheek, the practitioner reaches the deeper layers of facial muscle from both sides at once — outside and in.

What that changes is tension. Jaw clenching, a tight masseter, asymmetry that no amount of surface work shifts: these live in muscle that surface strokes cannot reach. Release it and the face reads differently, which is why clients describe the result as structural rather than cosmetic.
Why it is rare, and why that matters commercially
Intraoral work asks more of a practitioner than any other facial technique. It needs anatomical confidence, scrupulous hygiene, and a client conversation that sets expectations before a hand goes anywhere near a mouth. Most people skip it for exactly those reasons.
That scarcity is the opportunity. A technique clients search for and few offer is the definition of a differentiator, and it does not depend on a device you have to finance.
Settle the scope question before you book
This is the honest part. Intraoral work sits closer to the edge of an esthetician’s scope than anything else in facial massage, and scope is decided by your license, not by a course certificate.
Confirm what you personally may perform before you enroll. We will raise it at the consultation ourselves, and if the answer is that it does not fit your license, we would rather tell you then than take your money.
Unsure whether intraoral work fits your license? Ask us first — the consultation is free.
What the training covers
Buccal is taught inside the Premium sculptural face massage package: two days, eight hours plus two, with homework between them; the current price is on the course page.

Premium includes everything in the Standard package — the sculptural sequence, workbook, video material, hands-on practice — and adds cupping massage alongside buccal. You finish with a certificate of completion.
Both days are hands-on. Intraoral technique is not something that transfers from video, and the homework between days exists because the hand has to learn the pressure before day two is useful.
What clients should expect
It is worth rehearsing how you will describe this, because the first explanation decides whether a client books. It is not painful, it is unfamiliar. Gloves throughout. Most people feel the jaw release before they see anything in the mirror.
Sculptural face massage at ANNAZUR runs monthly, and buccal sits inside that rhythm rather than as a one-off.
