Facial specialist license in Florida: what it takes
A Florida facial specialist registration requires 220 hours at a licensed cosmetology school, and it is what lets you perform facials for pay. ANNAZUR Academy in Jacksonville is not a license-track school — it trains people who already hold that credential.
Most people searching for facial classes near them are really asking two different questions at once: how do I get licensed, and how do I get better. In Florida those have different answers, and the order matters.
The license comes first
Florida requires a facial specialist registration before you may perform facials professionally. That means a minimum of 220 hours at a licensed Florida cosmetology school, then registering with the Department. The combined full specialist credential is 400 hours: 220 facial plus 180 nails.
No private studio can shorten that or issue it. We cannot, and neither can anyone advertising a “certification” as a substitute. If you are starting from zero, a cosmetology school is your first call.
What advanced training is for
Once you are licensed, the gap is rarely technique in the abstract. It is judgment: knowing which protocol a particular face needs, and when to do less. That is the gap short, focused courses are built to close.

Our courses are not a license-track program. They are continuing education for people already working, and they finish with a Certificate of Completion, supervised hands-on practice on live models, and access to our treatment protocols.
The two named courses
Acne Treatment Pro runs two days, ten hours — current price is on the course page. Acne rarely follows one script, so the time goes into assessing cases from mild to complex, selecting a protocol and planning a case over months rather than one appointment.
Microcurrent Training runs one day, five hours — current price is on the course page. It connects safe device handling with treatment sequencing — the part that decides whether a device earns its place in your room.
Not sure which course fits? A consultation with an instructor at the spa is free.
Eight more subjects on request
Beyond the two named courses there is a broader catalog: the ANNAZUR facial sequence, anti-aging rejuvenation, and six more. These are not automatically included in the two courses above. Tell us which skill you want to build and the consultation confirms the right course, the prerequisites, the schedule and the current price.

How to choose
Choose by your starting point, not by whichever list is longest. If you are new to the profession, start with a consultation so we can be clear about which foundations come first and whether a course fits your present scope. If you are already working, start from the cases you hesitate on.
Before anyone enrolls we confirm prerequisites, professional scope, course fit and the model arrangements. That conversation is free, and it is genuinely a conversation — sometimes the honest answer is that a course is not what you need yet.
Why Jacksonville students come to a working spa
Training inside a spa that runs all day has one practical advantage: the models are real clients with real skin, and the protocols are the ones used the rest of the week. You see the decision before the hand moves, which is the part that does not transfer from video.

Do I need a license to take a facial course?
For our two named courses, yes — they are designed for licensed estheticians and spa professionals. If you are new to the profession, start with a consultation and we will tell you honestly what comes first.
How many hours does Florida require to become a facial specialist?
A minimum of 220 hours at a licensed Florida cosmetology school, then registration with the Department. Full specialist is 400 hours.
Does ANNAZUR issue a license?
No. No private studio in Florida can. We issue a Certificate of Completion for the training itself.
Do you practice on live models?
Yes. The courses include supervised practice on real models inside the working spa.
What does it cost?
Acne Treatment Pro is on the course page and Microcurrent Training is on the course page. Other subjects are priced at consultation.
Can I just talk to someone first?
Yes, and we would prefer it. A consultation with an instructor at the spa is free, and it is how we confirm the course actually fits.
