What Is Buccal Massage?
Buccal massage is intraoral work: the therapist works the cheek and chewing muscles from inside the mouth with gloved hands as well as from outside, releasing tension and defining the mid-face. We do it — it is part of our Face Sculpting Massage, so ask for the buccal work when you book. No needles, no downtime, $219 with a membership, and it works best once a month.
The term arrived through social media and now turns up in booking messages weekly. It refers to something specific, so it is worth saying plainly what it is, what it does, and that we perform it.
What buccal massage is
Buccal means “of the cheek”. In a buccal massage the esthetician works the facial muscles from inside the mouth with gloved hands, alongside external work — the chewing muscles in particular, which hold a surprising amount of tension and quietly pull on the shape of the lower face.
Nothing is injected and nothing is applied inside the mouth. It is manual work, and the effect comes from release rather than from a product.
Ask for the buccal work when you book — it is planned into the session, not added on the table.
Why working from inside changes the outside
The muscles that clench when you are stressed sit deep, and from the surface you can only reach so far. Releasing them from inside the cheek is what sharpens the mid-face, lifts the look of the cheekbone and takes the downward pull off the jawline.
That is also why the result reads as “less tired” rather than “treated”.
We do it — here is how it is booked
The buccal technique is part of our Face Sculpting Massage, performed with gloved hands under our standard hygiene protocol. Say at booking that you want the buccal work included, so the session is planned with it from the start.
It is $280, or $219 with a membership; with a top esthetician $399, or $299 with a membership. No needles and no downtime.
What a session feels like
Firm and deliberate rather than relaxing, and it should never hurt — pressure is adjusted on your word. The effect is visible the same day and accumulates when you keep to a monthly rhythm.
Who it suits
Anyone whose complaint is contour: cheekbones that have softened, a heavier jawline, tension from clenching. If the concern is skin quality — texture, tone, pigmentation — a facial protocol is the better spend, and we will tell you so.
What buccal work is.
- Intraoral: the defining feature: gloved hands working the cheek from inside, where the chewing muscles hold tension.
- Why it changes the face: releasing those muscles is what sharpens the mid-face and softens the pull on the jawline.
- We do it: it is part of our Face Sculpting Massage — say at booking that you want the buccal technique included.
- Rhythm: once a month. It is cumulative work, not a one-off treat.

Book a face sculpting massageBuccal massage. Questions answered plainly.
Do you actually do the intraoral technique?
Yes. Our esthetician works inside the cheek with gloved hands as part of the Face Sculpting Massage, alongside the external work. Mention it when you book so the session is planned with it.
Is it hygienic?
Gloves, fresh linen and our standard hygiene protocol — the same standards as every other service here. Nothing is applied inside the mouth.
Does it hurt?
It is firm, deliberate work rather than a relaxing stroke, and it should not hurt. Tell your esthetician where the line is and the pressure stays on the useful side of it.
What does it change?
Definition through the cheekbones and jaw, softer laugh lines and a less pronounced double chin. Contour, not skin quality.
What does it cost and how often?
$280, or $219 with a membership; with a top esthetician $399, or $299 with a membership. Best repeated once a month.
