Massage and Waxing on the Same Day
Yes, with two rules. Waxing goes first, because massage oil left on skin stops sugar paste from gripping. And the massage should avoid the freshly waxed area — follicles stay open for a day or two, which is exactly when friction and product cause irritation. Different areas on the same day are fine.
People combine appointments to save a trip, which is sensible. Two details decide whether it works or backfires, and both come from how waxing behaves rather than from massage.
Waxing goes first
Sugar paste bonds to hair, and it needs skin that is clean and free of product. Massage oil left on the skin is the opposite of that, so a massage before waxing means a worse wax — hairs that break instead of releasing, and more passes over the same area.
Book the wax first and the massage after, and neither service is compromised.
Booking two services? Say so — we will sequence them so neither is wasted.
Keep the massage off the waxed area
Follicles stay open for a day or two after waxing. That is the window when friction, oil and scented product cause irritation, folliculitis and ingrown hairs — and a massage over the area does all three at once.
Different areas are no problem: had a bikini wax, want your back and shoulders worked? That combination is fine.
The 48-hour rules do not go away
After any waxing: no hot showers, saunas, pools or workouts for 48 hours, and nothing scented on the area. Hot stones count as heat, so they belong on unwaxed areas only.
Better pairings
Facials pair with waxing more comfortably than massage does, because the areas do not overlap — which is why several of our packages are built that way.
How to book it
Say at the time of booking that you want both. The order and the gap between them get set for you, rather than discovered on the day. Bikini line waxing starts at $39 and a 60-minute massage at $125 for first-time clients and members.
How to plan the visit.
- Wax first: oils and creams on the skin stop the paste bonding, so massage before waxing works against you.
- Skip the waxed area: the massage works elsewhere — back, neck, shoulders, legs if they were not waxed.
- 48-hour rule still applies: no heat, sauna, pool or workouts after waxing, and nothing scented on the area.
- Tell reception: say you are booking both and the order and timing get set for you.
Book your massage — 60 minutes from $125 for members and first visits.
Book a massageTwo services, one visit. Questions answered plainly.
Why can’t the massage come first?
Because massage oil stays on the skin, and sugar paste needs clean, product-free skin to bond to the hair. Waxing after a massage gives a worse result.
Can the massage include the area I just had waxed?
No — we work other areas instead. Freshly waxed skin plus friction and product is how irritation and ingrown hairs start.
Is a facial a better pairing?
Often yes, because the areas do not overlap. Our package menu pairs facials with waxing for exactly that reason.
What if I want a hot stone massage?
Fine on unwaxed areas. Heat is on the no list for the first 48 hours after waxing, and hot stones count as heat.
How do I book both?
Tell us when you book so the order and gap are set properly. Prices: waxing from $39 for bikini line, massage from $125 for 60 minutes, both for first-time clients and members.
